Who We Are
Welcome to
My Kids Psych
. I’m
Dr. Jeryl D. Kershner
, a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician and Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. This practice is dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and families through thoughtful, comprehensive, and individualized care.
At My Kids Psych, you will find clear information about developmental and behavioral pediatrics and child and adolescent psychiatry—two closely related medical specialties that focus on a child’s emotional, behavioral, and developmental well-being.
Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics
addresses the developmental, learning, and psychosocial needs of children from birth through young adulthood.
Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of thinking, mood, and behavior that affect children, adolescents, and their families.
I am uniquely trained in both specialties, a combination that is uncommon, and I also bring years of experience in pediatrics. This dual training allows me to view each child through a broad medical lens while carefully considering emotional, behavioral, and developmental factors. Families benefit from a comprehensive approach grounded in medical expertise, advanced training, and evidence-based care.
Every child is different. Not every therapy is appropriate, and no single treatment works for every child. My role is to be your advocate—to listen carefully, understand your child’s individual needs, and work collaboratively with your family to develop the most effective, up-to-date treatment plan. The well-being of my patients and their families is always my highest priority.
I strongly believe that early identification and intervention are critical to long-term success. Children with developmental and behavioral concerns often have both medical and emotional needs that require the training and experience of a physician specializing in these complex areas. As a
Harvard-trained, board-certified Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician and fellowship-trained Child Psychiatrist
, I am uniquely equipped to guide families through challenges affecting infants, toddlers, school-aged children, adolescents, and young adults. Early intervention can make a meaningful difference. If you have concerns about your child’s development, behavior, or emotional health, I encourage you not to wait.
